Teach Me Who You Are
Learn how one faculty member transitioned a course from a publisher textbook to an open education textbook. This session will introduce the process of conversion, student experiences with the new material, how they integrated outside resources, a new workbook, and assessment to focus on the student. Participants will interact in a student assessment activity and be given instructor resources. The speaker will talk about the COMX 111 Interpersonal Communication course that was converted to OER, however the information is relevant across disciplines in pedagogy and approach.
