Blind Date with Archives

Blind Date with Archives

Have you ever wondered what’s hiding in the Archives and Special Collections at MSU? Are you interested in seeing some of the historic photos, yearbooks, diaries, architectural drawings, and other unique items we have on Montana and MSU history?

Well, you are in luck! This October, in honor of National Archives Month, we are making it easier for anyone to come visit by booking a Blind Date with the Archives.

  • Reserve a table in the Archives: https://calendar.lib.montana.edu/reserve/asc

    • Reservations are available Tuesday-Friday 11-3*

    • For the question “What materials will you need to use?” put “Blind Date”

  • Show up for your reservation

    • All participants will need to bring photo ID for their visit.

When you arrive, Archives staff will give you a short selection of items to choose from, then let you explore the unique items we have on offer. Staff will be available to answer questions about how to explore more.

Can't make it in person? Use our contact form (https://www.lib.montana.edu/archives/contact-form/) to request a Digital Blind Date to explore collections available online!

*Reservations close 24 hours in advance, walk-in visits will be accommodated on a case-by-case basis depending on availability.

MSU Archives and Special Collections are located on the second floor of MSU Library.
